Frequently Asked Questions
Are you accepting new patients?
Of course we are! Our patients are usually referred from general
dentists and specialists but we also accept patients that refer
themselves or are referred by other patients.
Will the procedure hurt?
The procedure may be a little uncomfortable depending on how much
inflammation and infection you have. Usually a localized anesthetic
is used to alleviate pain, similar to what you would receive when
having a filling done.
Will I be sedated?
Oral sedation such as valium is used to reduce any anxiety. Approximately 20-25% of our
patients use sedation with surgery.
Do you accept insurance?
We are happy to file your insurance for you and ask that you pay
your estimated copayment at the time of the procedure. You will
be responsible for any unpaid portion that insurance does not cover.
The first visit we ask you to pay for the appointment in full and
we will file the insurance for you.
Will insurance cover the cost of my treatments?
We work with almost all insurance companies and can give you an estimate of the coverage
compared to previous patients' coverage with those companies. We will be happy to file a
pretreatment estimate with your insurance company as needed.
Will I be able to go back to work?
After nonsurgical appointments, you will be able to go back to work. After surgery, you may want
to take the rest of the day off and should be able to return to work the next day.
